We live in the middle of Hamsterley forest in county Durham in the house we have 4 bedrooms one twin bedroom and 3 kingsize bedrooms all with en-suites.We have a two acre garden and the Dovecot in the garden that has been turned into accommodation, with a roll top bath with candles and a spiral stair case to the bedroom..
This is a historic house built in 1826 as a hunting lodge for a wealthy family called the Surtees.
We offer afternoon teas, and good hearty breakfasts.
We can lock bikes in our out buildings for security.
The forest is well known for its mountain bike trails.
If you are a walker you can walk in the forest or on the moor tops, many trails to walk, with wonderful wildlife.
